About Me

As a youngster growing up in rural Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada, I've always had a keen interest in animals, especially the kinds of animals that made the average person uncomfortable. As an adult I took up photography as a way to show others the natural wonders that are happening largely unnoticed all around them. I like to think that my images give a voice to all the animals that often get overlooked. The greatest gift I have been given as a human being is a glimpse into the lives of some of the creatures that inhabit this amazing planet with us.

I was involved in the establishment of the Hyla Park Nature Preserve in 1995, in Fredericton N.B., by the Nature Trust of New Brunswick. Hyla Park was created to protect Hyla versicolor or the Gray Treefrog. This Park also serves to educate the public about wetland habitats, and is quite possibly the only Amphibian Preserve of its kind in the world. I continue to serve as Steward of Hyla Park, and work with the Trust (as well as other conservation groups) on a variety of projects.
